The Year that was 2012

*Cough cough *Sweeps away cobwebs and dust.

My last post was November 11, 2011. Time to revive the blog.

The year 2012 was a healing year for me and for my family as well.

We were still taking pictures, documenting life, and trying to value each other. Meanwhile we were also blessed with a new son. I’ll introduce him in a bit (some other post) but you don’t get month by month updates. Instead you get the fast-forward version.

Here’s our Year 2012 in short:

On March 6, 2012 Little Dragon Baby ZhiXiong was born. Here is how he was presented the day after he was born:

Huirou loved him as much as she loves Zhixin, as did the rest of the family. Her after school activities were centred around cuddling him in our bed all throughout my confinement.

Born rather normal at 3.1kg, he was a nursing champ and grew like to be like Mr Michelin.

And at almost 2 months we were rewarded with true smiles of his, alerting us to a wonderful personality in him.

Meanwhile our Huirou is developing into a young lady.

At 3 months, we entered the Johnson’s Baby of the Year Contest, and we DIDN’T win. Ha! What? Y’all thought I lost my humour or what? As long as he still wins as mama’s Baby of the Year …..

At 7 months old Zhixiong maintained his run at the 90th percentile for height and weight. So basically he was already wearing clothing meant for 1yo but because of his even stature, you wouldn’t know. But we always felt his weight when in the malls…..

And since we were still avoiding old haunts we found new ones Smile

So you see our life pretty much centred around Baby ZhiXiong as it should be. We wouldn’t want it any other way.

All photos in this post were taken using my iPhone. Hence you are still missing some pretty important events that were on our main camera.

Just relax and allow me to reminisce. The stories will come.. They may be a bit disjointed but like some Japanese movies, you just have to piece them together

Too Deep? Happy Weekend Everybody! Feels good to be back.
