They are same in some ways; and different in some other ways.
Huirou's Granma is shy in front of the camera, but is very concerned about her well-being. Every once in awhile, she will call me and ask how she's doing. She's most concerned about her nutrition, constantly reminding me to feed her this and that... which takes like 1 whole hour! And whenever we visit her, she makes sure Huirou is comfortable, and learnt some new skills.
Whereas, Granpa never fail to remember to have his picture taken with Huirou. Infact, he'll act all kanchiong wanting to remove his glasses and all so that he look immaculate in those photos. He is most concerned about who takes care of her when I go to work and always asking us (Me and Hubs!) to take care of ourselves so that we can take care of his youngest cucu (malay: Grandchild)
So you see, although Huirou's Granparents seldom see each other, and are mostly different; they still share a common love for their youngest cucu.
